Museology provides original historical research for individuals and organizations. Research areas include oral history projects, historic preservation, exhibit research, and photo, artifact or document identification.

Genealogical Research

Museology offers genealogical assistance for beginning and advanced researchers. Specializing in Minnesota history, Museology will conduct original research to trace family ancestries through land records, censuses, church parish records, wills, probate, vital records, immigration, military records, and other types of records. Museology staff is able to research in German, Spanish, Norwegian, and Swedish documents.
